What is a Squeeze Play?

Well, baseball fans will know this! But, for those of you that aren't (is there such a person?), a Squeeze Play is a baseball term when the offense has a runner on Third Base who, for all intents and purposes, attempts to "steal" home as soon as the pitcher throws to the batter. It is the sole job of the hitter at that point to lay down a bunt, give himself up so the runner from Third can score for the team.

Why the name? It's a great, yet risky play in baseball. When successful, it's a risk worth taking and a very exciting moment.

While we know that any advertising dollar spent is always a risk, we sincerely hope and believe that advertising in Tidbits will be a risk worth taking. People love Tidbits! Pick up a copy and we know you will too!
